Since, 1947 members of the Hobor Family have been recognized in the Central Jersey area for expert interior and exterior home improvements. Anthony Hobor opened his business 54 years ago from his home on Nassau Street in North Brunswick. Initially, he specialized in carpentry, windows, and painting. In the early 1970's, Anthony's sons Tony and Peter began working with their father. Shortly after the name changed to A.W. Hobor & Sons. The business expanded to include : Siding, Roofing, and Remodeling.

In 1976 the first showroom was opened at 640 Hermann Road in North Brunswick. Later that year Tony's brother-in-law Dave Locandro joined the company as an apprentice carpenter.

1978 saw the passing of the founder Anthony Sr.

In 1990, Dave and Tony became partners, sharing the vision of expanding the company's client base.

In 1999, this thriving company moved to their present address at 1072 Livingston Avenue in North Brunswick. A.W. Hobor & Sons specialization shifted to more residential home additions and interior remodeling including kitchens and bathrooms.
